The Sandaya Group was born from the ambition of two leading professionals in the tourist accommodation sector, to create a high-end camping group, with its own distribution capability.

Pragma quickly emerged itself as the natural choice of partner for the two founders, thanks to its know-how in accompanying buy & build projects.

External growth strategy

Sandaya started from scratch in 2010 and grew thanks to a dozen acquisitions of campsites, at a pace of two acquisitions per year. The campsites stand out due to the exceptional quality of their locations and facilities, placing Sandaya as a leading player and brand in the high-end outdoor accommodation industry in France.

Team structure

The rapid growth of the Group was a challenge in terms of management, since we had to reinforce the rollout team quickly: operational teams at each campsite were structured and central teams were set up (commercial, development, web, finance, information systems). This structure helped to integrate bought-out campsites and to adapt them to the Sandaya concept.

Beyond the financial means Pragma provided, the success of the project was due to the expertise it provided in external growth and team structuring.
